How to build trust with your customers.

Trust is like a good reputation.  It grows over time, like watering a plant.   Trust needs to be earned, but when it is, it builds brand loyalty.

A few tips on building trust and building a good reputation for your business.

1) Always be transparent with your clients/customers.  Make sure they know if there is a change coming, or a price increase because of inflation or supply chain issues.  Transparency is the white flag between you and your clients.  It shows them that you want a peaceful honest, long term relationship.

2) Ask for reviews.  Google reviews, Facebook reviews or Trust Pilot reviews will show your clients and customers that other people feel strongly about you and your business.  So much so that they gave you an excellent rating.  It is proof that you are a solid business that they future clients can work with.  Be sure to always respond to your reviews, whether they be good or bad.  Future customers will look at all reviews and see how you address them. If you cut and paste the same response to every bad review, future clients will think you are not honest.

3) Any involvement you have with your community and charities should quite frankly be "boasted" publicly.  Not in a braggy way.  Just as a subtle, humble post on your networks to show that you care about people and community.  Care shows potential clients that your business is valued and that you have a great reputation and people trust you.
