The 3 words that drive success in your business.

Straight from a Marketing & Business Coach

Navigating the unpredictable currents of business in Toronto, Oakville, or Burlington can be a

challenge. As a small business owner, you face the constant ups and downs of market trends,

economic shifts, and anything else that will throw you off your game. After 25 years of

experience, my goal as a business coach is to support small businesses by providing them with

the strategy, marketing and financial management tools to not just stay afloat, but to achieve

sustainable business growth with 3 simple words.

#1 - Consistency

Your habits and routines are the bedrock of your brand's reputation and success. Whether it's a

daily social media post, a weekly client newsletter, or a bi-weekly blog, find a frequency that is

truly sustainable for you. Stop looking at shiny objects like new trends or platforms, unless you

have the bandwidth to commit to them. Instead, build a habit that allows you to show up reliably

for your clients and potential customers. This consistency is what builds trust, and ultimately

drives the steady growth you’ve been working towards.

#2 – Relevance

Staying relevant is something I recommend to provide long term success. As a Business Coach

in Toronto, one of the most critical pieces of advice I give my clients is to be proactive and stay

ahead of the competition and industry changes. It's easy to get comfortable and fall into a

routine, but a failure to adapt can quickly make a business obsolete.

The pay out is huge, but you must actively seek out new knowledge and skills. This includes

taking courses and workshops, attending industry conferences, and networking with other

professionals. This will keep you competitive but also prevents the exhaustion of catching up

down the road out of necessity. The goal is to achieve sustainable growth, and that requires

relevance.

#3 – Persistence

While persistence seems obvious, for many it is challenging. It is hard to stay motivated when times are

tough, but persistence can't just reveal itself in the good moments when you are most excited and are

enjoying the fruits of your labour. You need to be persistent on the lowest days. Just remember that every

business owner has bad days. Channel your persistence on those days more than others.
